Raised on a farm in Helgelandskysten Norway, Kai’s entrepreneurial journey took flight in his youth. He founded the IT company annonsenett.no for classified advertisements online in 2000 when VC funds were scarce in Norway.

He then spent two decades in capital market and equity sales at esteemed institutions – Merrill Lynch, Handelsbanken, and Pareto Securities in New York and Oslo. He worked on capital market transactions for over 1000 companies.

Recognizing the need for strategic growth-stage funding, Kai founded CVP in September 2020, with the vision to support Nordic companies to become global players.

Fun fact: Beyond the world of VC, you might spot Kai on the soccer field, playing in the top division right here in Oslo.
